Unable to Purchase "Vine" is not compatible with this iPhone **** It!

We are fellow users on these forums, not iTunes Support nor Apple.

What do you mean 'my purchase is unable to update vine' ? What happens when you try to update it, and what iPhone model is it and what iOS version is it on ? The current version is only compatible with iPhone 5s+, and iOS 8+

I received a notification that the app needed to be updated. I tried to update it and received the error message that "Vine" is not compatible with this iPad.

On the app's description page is your iPad model listed as being compatible ?

I Just got the same message when trying to update Vine on my iPad 3 with iOS 9 on it. Not that I use it much, but that's the first time I've seen such a message.

Looking at the app's description page in the store then iPad 3 isn't listed as being compatible with it - what the developers have done to not make it compatible, and if they are likely to change it, you would need to ask them.

Well, the existing, non-upgrade app still seems to work, so it's no big deal yet. (I suppose future OS upgrades may break it eventually.) As I say, I don't even use it much, so if the only way to get rid of the constant upgrade prompt for it (that then says it can't be upgraded hen pressed) on the App Store is to delete it, I'm okay with that.

Apple are not here, these are user-to-user forums - it's the developer of the app who have made their app not compatible with older devices
