Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My Macbook Air 2012 11 inch has just updated the flash storage firmware - as part of an update . The Macbook Air is running EL Capitan.
Now every time I boot the machine up to the start screen ( the machine works fine ) it flashes a message on screen to say it has just done that ?
The message appears in a box and says the firmware upgrade was successful . I then click on OK and it disappears .
Any Ideas how to stop this message appearing ???

Yes I did - I had no choice but to do a full reinstall and it now works perfectly

To get rid of it :
Disable SIP
Log in as root
in
/System/Library/Receipts delete :
com.apple.pkg.MacBookAirFlashStoreFWUpd.bom
com.apple.pkg.MacBookAirFlashStoreFWUpd.plist
Reboot, enable SIP, disable root and you are done with it.
I really would like some Apple shop technician to do it for me FOR FREE.
I'm not a computer freak. I like this brand and products but sometimes have annoying problems which you have to fix by yourself. Considering the premium price you have to pay for Apple hardware.
Nothing is for free... Easy solution Re-install your OS.
