i accidentally deleted an excel file. can i get it back?

How did you delete it? If you deleted it in Finder, have you looked in your "Trash" ? A trash can should be in your dock, click on it.


If you wrote "over" it with an app, it might be costly to get it back, depends on the app, it may be easy or impossible. But more urgently, if you want to go that route, the first thing you should do is stop using the computer. Maybe shut it down and don't restart it until you know you don't want to try to get it back. You will need help or at least a second computer.

Yeah! Definitely, you can get back deleted excel. But before that, let me ask one question. Have you accessed system for writing new data? If its so, then the chances of recovery is less because the deleted file might overwritten with new one. Else, can recover excel by applying professional tool which is specially build for recovering data. Previously, i was struck up in same situation then, i got hint from here: http://ajsyscorp.com/instant-method-to-restore-deleted-excel-files go through it might work for you as well
