Can I use the new Airport Extreme for wifi, and still use my old Time Capsule 2TB (2011) for TC back ups?

I have a 2011 Time Capsule. I was thinking about upgrading to the 802.11ac for our iPhones and for future Macbook upgrades. (currently our macbooks are 802.11n). If I can, I'd like to keep using the old Time Capsule for back up, so I don't have to buy a brand new Time Capsule. Just trying to save a few bucks and not have one more piece of unused equipment. Is it possible to network the TC and back up to it, while using the AE for the wifi?

Thanks for the swift reply! Will it be pretty self evident how to set it up? I'm not a super advanced user, but I definitely know how to navigate the basic set up of networks. I'm also pretty good at finding info on the internet. Any good references?

Just follow the instructions in the Setup Guide that will come with the AirPort Extreme, or post back when you have the AirPort Extreme.
