We use Apple TV's for basketball film breakdown and film sessions. This has been an indispensable tool due to the ability to advance 1 frame at a time in Slow Motion.
With the new Apple TV Gen 4 device and the Siri remote, I cannot figure out how to enable Slow Motion playback. I have scoured the user manual, the free e-book and online forums and no seems to have an answer to this.
Can someone help me out?

I've never needed to do slo-mo playback but just tried it and can only jump forward in 10 second increments with the remote. Not sure that Apple considered this use case with the ATV4.
What if you were to play the video on an iOS device and airplay to the ATV4? Can you do slo-mo playback on iOS?
Don't think it's currently possible. Apple seems to have removed the ability to playback video in slow motion. It's not a remote issue either. Even using the Apple TV 3's remote with the Apple TV 4, when you pause the video and click the right side of the circle on the remote, the ATV 4 advances 10 seconds instead of initiating slow motion playback like on the ATV 3.
I am also disappointed that there's no slow motion option, I hope this could be resolved in an update
Has anyone had any joy? Are there any rumours of an update bringing back this brilliant feature?
