Early 2011 macbook pro goes to sleep when I unplug the charger

My early 2011 MacBook Pro goes to sleep whenever I unplug the charger. Would replacing the battery help?

Hold down the option key and click on the battery icon in the menu bar. What does it say after "Condition:"?

I have used Anker replacement batteries in a MacBook Pro and a MacBook and they work great. Here is the link for your battery -> http://smile.amazon.com/Anker-Replacement-Battery-Li-Polymer-Warranty/dp/B00UWQ6 YEI/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1448942688&sr…

Battery replacement instructions are at https://www.ifixit.com/Device/MacBook_Pro_15%22_Unibody_Early_2011
