I worked on Illustrator and shut down my MacBook Pro, then, when I started again, there was a vertical green line on the screen
for a few days, now the line is purple. Looks the same as the Illustrator or Photoshop guides.

Go to "Force Quit" in the main menu. Force Quit all open apps and when cleared go back to Force Quit and Relaunch Finder. Restart your Mac and see if your Illustrator program was the culprit running in the background. Force Quit is handy and you can periodically check to see if you improperly exited or closed an App, File or Program.
