How do I restore Mac OS X Lion without recovery disc?

I Erased everything from my Macbook 4.1 without backing it up. When I tried to restore Mac OS X Lion, it won't let me. I'm getting a message saying (The item is not available. Please try again later). Can someone please help?ö
