Am I right in thinking that a TC has to be connected to a router via Ethernet? I was trying to set it up in another room from the router, just to be used as a wireless backup drive over the existing network, but I couldn't find a way to tell it about my router.
Is this possible?

The Time Capsule must connect to a network using a wired Ethernet connection.......unless......you already have another Apple wireless router providing your wireless signal. If you do, then the Time Capsule can connect using either a wired Ethernet connection, or using wireless.
