Will an Appel TV last generation bought in the US also work with German electricty (220 V) only to change the power cord.

Or is there a danger that it will be destroyed if I plug the cord in?

Yes, it will work just fine with a replacement cable.

Or is there a danger that it will be destroyed if I plug the cord in?

No, it has a universal power adapter.
