Can't Record (Logic Pro X)

I don't know what happened but I tried to record something the other day and allthough everything seemed to work fine there was no recording of my voice

I checked the settings and apparently my Scarlett 2i2 was not set as in- or output preference so I tried to change that but I could only chose my interface as input and not as output and even after I changed the setting regarding the input there was no recording

the mic and the interface seem to work just fine and I never had that problem before since everything was working the way I wanted it to for ages now

my problem didn't solve itself even after I newly installed logic on my mac so I really hope someone knows how to get everything working again.
