Unusual Adaptions of Furigana - How to do?

I am trying to copy-write a poem by a Japanese friend. He has used some very unusual furigana applications for his poem. Pages is unable to do this properly. It automatically selects which Kanji to use with which furigana, and does not allow furigana over multiple kanji that it does not think are connected/appropriate. How do we turn this auto thing off, or work around it? I am thinking of buying Word for Mac, because at least this will do the job! Well-seasoned users of furigana will understand. Please reply if you understand furigana well. Thank-you.

I am using Pages 5

The poem can be found here:http://isshu.freewebhost.co.nz/isshu-poems.html

The title is:

一首五 ≪まぁ、なんて 美しいこと≫

Pages 5-OTHER, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
