apps on my phone don't show up in iTunes

I have 149 apps on my phone but when connected to iTunes, it shows that there are only 5 although the pictures of my phone on the right side of the screen show my home screens as having all the correct apps. After the last IOS update, half of my apps would not update on my iPhone 6 but just stuck in limbo for days. so I ended up restoring from a back up and now they updated but still don't show up in iTunes and APPS is missing from the line up under ON MY DEVICE although the status bar at the bottom show s 149 apps.
