iphoto to dropbox to photos

Before my 2008 iMac hard drive crashed I was able to back my 30,000 pictures in iPhoto to Dropbox (pro). New hard drive, upgraded to El Capitan OS, and can't download iPhoto from App store because it's been taken down for some fix/update. Can I download my pictures from Dropbox to Photos? If so, how?

You need the current version of iPHoto 9.6.1 - if your software is not up to date see Can't Update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store

As to importing photos form DropBox you shuld be able to simply drag the from DB to Photos to import
