Smart playlist shows songs and albums with stars

I've created a smart playlist to show all the songs I have stared 3+. Also, only show songs that I haven't listened to in the past 14 days.

Problem is, it shows all the songs, but it also shows all the songs from the albums too. If I star a song, iTunes adds a solid grey star rating to the album. The smart playlist is then seeing the solid grey stars and adds all the album songs to the list too.

Besides that it shouldn't do this, is there a workaround to get it to ignore album ratings? Or the solid grey star ratings? I don't rate albums, only songs. So if there was even a way to disable album rating all together that would be great too.

I'm currently running iTunes 64 12.3.1.23

The light grey (formerly hollow) stars are autoratings generated because some of the tracks on the album have been rated. If you rate an album as 3 stars all unrated tracks get a 3 star track autorating. If you rate one track from an album as 2 stars, and another as 4, leave the rest unrated, the album gets autorated to 3 stars (the average of all manually rated tracks).

iTunes generates these autoratings on the fly. To clear them use my scripts ClearAlbumAutoRating and/or ClearTrackAutoRating which sets manual values of 1%. There are corresponding scripts to reset things if you want to enable album or track autoratings again at a later stage.

There currently seems to be another issue where syncing after tracks have been rated on a device may cause an album to gain a full rating. Hopefully Apple are aware of this issue and will resolve in a later build, but keep an eye out for unwanted changes.
