Password won't work with my Mac

Hey guys, I recently bought a MacBook Pro. Since the first day, I had an issue with apple ID's. First off, I created a new one, and it wouldn't accept my billing information, so I used my old one. Of course, my old account then had all of my apps such as garage band, so there I had a problem. I solved that by switching the emails, billing information, etc. around with that of my new account. (Kind of confusing, my old account is basically my new account.) Anyways, the information for the account will go through on my iPad, but when I try to log into Appstore or iTunes on my Mac, it states that my username or password are incorrect. I've attempted resetting the password now 3 times and it's still the same issue. Any suggestions guys? Thanks!
