Found A iPod on Sidewalk

So I found a iPod touch 5th Generation along the sidewalk and took it home and connected it to the computer to see if I could find the owner of it and could not get in touch with them or know anything about them to get in touch with them with for around 4-6 months now so I decided to keep the ipod since no one has came to pick it up considering it has the app "Find iPhone" on it (according to my computer). I've tried resetting it and it says that I got to use the Apple ID that was used to set up this ipod to get into it and theres got to be a way to get around that. Please Help... ASAP
