can i use my sim card on another iphone device?

the other day my little brother tried to guess my pasword but never got in and so it disabled my iphone 5c and so i connected it itunes in order to be able to use it again but it wont let me because it says that i need a sim card. will it be okay if i took out the sim card from my iphone 5s and put it in the 5c in order to be able to unlock it? and what will happen when i put the sim card back into my iphone 5s? will i still be able to make calls and send text messages like before?😟
