Need some suggestions on compatible TV brands
I have an iphone (and an ancient MacBook) but now need to buy a new TV, any suggestions on ones that will connect to my phone wirelessly?

never heard of any tv which will do airplay mirror
you need to buy an appletv or buy the cable from lightingbolt -> hdmi
or rely on the tv maker having an app in app store which can do it
