Black screen at start up help
I have a black screen at start up. Is there a method to reset?

Macs older than 4 years you should look at resetting the SMC or SMU directions unless their PRAM battery has been replaced in less time than that. In which case a reset of the PRAM can work. Some Macs do not have a battery, but rather have a capacitor on the logicboard. See this tip on identifying your Mac:
