THe Apple IPad Air (a little over 1-year old) was on charge overnight. In the morning it is dead and cannot boot. The screen stays black regardless if I press the start button.

The IPad is a 32G. I have tried to hold down the start button but nothing happens.

A forced restart may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
