Unacceptably slow download

After using my Apple TV without issue since purchase, i rented a movie last Friday and was told it would take 18 HOURS to download. Today, it says it'll take 22 hours. THIS IS 6 DAYS LATER. I have lowered the resolution, read advice here and followed it, Contacted Apple every day for the past 6 days with no success... Can anyone throw me a bone here? This is beyond unacceptable.
