Every single banking or financial app I have on my phone is password protected. If your bank or financial institution doesn't include password protection in the app they make available for mobile banking, get a different bank as they are obviously unconcerned with your security. If they don't put a passcode on the mobile app, who knows how else they are risking your security.

Apple even makes TouchID available for use by third parties.
