how do I erase my iPad without an internet connection, I forgot my passcode

I forgot my passcode and need to erase my iPad. It will not connect to my wifi without the passcode. I tried removing it from my iCloud account, but that didn't work. HELP!!!

What happened when you tried the first method? What about the third?
