- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
- Press and hold on the Home button
- Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

So is it garbage now?

Nov 27, 2015 1:05 AM in response to monstermelly31by thunderzzz,Did you buy second hand iPad or it was brand new device? If you bought second hand iPad there is a chance it has previous owner id. Without this id it is useless brick.

Nov 27, 2015 1:22 AM in response to monstermelly31by monstermelly31,I bought it second hand, but have been using it or the last 5 months with my apple ID and even now when I plug it in to my computer it still opens up automatically in itunes as "melissas Ipad" ( Im melissa)
