Q: after udpdate I cant sign in

I have an Ipad mini, I updated my software, and now it says to sign in with my apple ID, and I type in all the right info ( email address and password) and it asks me to agree to the terms and conditions, and so I hit "agree" but then it says "could not sign in".

So I had to start all over, and tried clicking the "dont have apple id or forgot it" and then click "create a free apple id" but then a window pops up saying "this ipad can no longer be used to create a new apple ID. Create a new apple Id at appleid.apple.com"

What the hec is going on? how do I sign in ? and did i loose all my games and pictures and music?

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
Press and hold on the Home button
Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

I tried that and it still is coming up with the same thing. I dont understand why it wont let me sign in. I cant use my ipad at all now.
So is it garbage now?

Did you buy second hand iPad or it was brand new device? If you bought second hand iPad there is a chance it has previous owner id. Without this id it is useless brick.

I bought it second hand, but have been using it or the last 5 months with my apple ID and even now when I plug it in to my computer it still opens up automatically in itunes as "melissas Ipad" ( Im melissa)

When I bought it of the guy, he wiped it clean and restored it back to factory settings.It was reset as a new device.

You need to contact the seller and ask him to remove this iPhone from his list of devices. Otherwise, your device will be a useless brick.
