All my Notes have been deleted on my iPhone 5C
Can anyone suggest how I might retrieve these? Would they be backed up on iCloud for instance?

Hi Katie,
That is a possibility of your notes being backup in iCloud. It could also be in a backup in iTunes. Another place it could be is in the Recently deleted folder.
I would look at the Recently Deleted first. To do that, tap the back arrow to take you back to view the accounts and you should see a folder that says Recently Deleted. Tap that and you will see a list of deleted notes. Take a look at the link below for more details.
