Just after I updated my iMac to OS El Capitan my Time Machine stopped backing up my mail account & folders. Older backups are still in the Time Machine & new backups store Applications etc but not mail. What can I do?

Just after I updated my iMac to OS El Capitan my Time Machine stopped backing up my mail account & folders. Older backups are still in the Time Machine & new backups store Applications etc but not mail. What can I do?
