Q: How to publish data files from Numbers into Pages

Mid-2009 MacBook Pro/10.11.1/2.5Core2

I keep our wine inventory in Numbers and I am trying to publish/export the columns pertinent to a Wine List into Pages.

I have used Quark since 98 for this, but I thought with all the device continuity it would be a likely option. Or should I just try to pretty it up in Numbers?

You cannot link data from one document to another. Instead, copy the cells in Numbers : use the shortcut cmd C. Paste them into Pages (cmd V). A new table will be created in the process. I hope it will help.

Thank you so much for responding, It's something I hadn't tried yet.and I will.

I was coping & pasting into text boxes - working with tab delimited copy in Pages.

I just believed they had to dumb down the programs for cross platform and I'm now not using the right app. I think I will try Filemaker, but Im not sure Im up to its syntax .

NB. Keep a small restaurants wine inventory in Numbers and I am trying to publish it in a Graphic Design, easily readable wine list for the dinning room. I'm using Quark Xpress presently, but would like to simplify the process from usable database to Marketable Wine List.

    Thanks again
