iPhone5 (iOS9.1) has developed very slow response times. Any guesses?

My kid's iPhone 5 has developed very slow response times from the Home button and with touching the screen. Neither her sister's or my iPhone have the same issue. We share the same apps and settings. We're running the latest iOS (9.1). Anyone have an idea on why this is happening?
