Mail 6.6 on OSX 10.8.5 terrible slow

Hey Mates

I am not the first who posted this topic, but several solutions from different discussions wont work for me.

I do have about 10 different Mail Accounts within Mail (Gmail, GMX and Businessaccounts), with about 7k Mails in total.

When i am opening Mail, i get all mails within the allover-inbox. But if i switch to a specific account, there are no mails. If i switch back to the overall-inbox, there are no mails aswell.

Closing the app is only possible with activitymonitor.

After openeing Mail, i get this within console:

Nov 27 16:34:06 macbookpro.fritz.box spindump[1265]: Saved hang report for Mail version 6.6 (1510) to /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Mail_2015-11-27-163406_localhost.hang

As the Hang report is very long, i do not post it. But is there something i could search within the report?

Very Best and thanks!

In Finder, hold down the option/alt key while selecting Go from the Finder menu bar. Select Library. or select Go to Folder and paste in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail. Select Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.

Re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

Information learned from Linc Davis.

You can make your user library permanently visible with the following Terminal Command.

chflags nohidden ~/Library/
