How do I make a text enlighten as an animation?

I wanna make key points enlighten on clicking. I know that theres a effect which makes the text fade or loose its brightness butt can you do that in reverse?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.0.x)

This has to be set up manually, as an example, three bullets require four text boxes:


1 type out the text then duplicate the boxes to have four boxes

2 change the content, colour or brightness of the text in the boxes as shown below:

3 select all the text boxes and apply an effect, try a blur, dissolve or wipe:

4 reposition the boxes until they are precisely one on top of each other:
