formatting pages for epub

I've done all that is suggested and the formatting doesn't appear correctly in the epub export. I'm using Operating system 10.7, Pages 4.3. Can anyone help?

For anyone to help, you would at least need to explain exactly what is not correct in the formatting in the export, and what you are using to read the epub.
