Connect Cable-TV to my Macbook????

Hello!

I have a straight Coaxial cable from my cable company. They don't do set-top boxes. Just a cable that comes into your house.

I don't own a TV, but I do have a Mac and would like to connect the Cable feed into my macbook. I had looked at an Elegato Eye TV Hybrid, but they are expensive (around $300+) and not available in my country. So, I am wondering if there are any alternatives that will allow me to plug the coaxial cable feed right into my mac, and watch it on my Macbook.

I'm running 10.10 Yosemite on a Macbook Pro 2012.

I'd appreciate any ideas and insight.
