new purchases won't sync to iPod...iCloud involved?

Ive purchased music onto my iPad and synced this with iTunes on my laptop. This worked.

Then synced iPod with iTunes but my new music wont go onto my Ipod. The old music seems to have gone to iCloud and the new stuff hasnt...

can anyone please help as I been going round in circles for a while now and stuck!
