pause upload to iCloud

I have certain files stored on my iCloud drive and my computer automatically syncs these. However on occasions, I am taking a lot of bandwidth to upload big files and would like to pause the sync until I am on a faster connection.

In uploading photos I can pause the upload, but I cant see anywhere how I can pause the upload of general files. Is this possible please?
