I tried to restart my Apple TV using my Apple remote, but the Apple TV did not reset and now my remote control will not work. Every time I press a button on the remote the white light flashes a few times and the cursor does not move. Is there any way to fix this?

Have you tried a full power reset yet? I'd start there by removing the power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
Try re-pairing the remote:
press and hold the Menu and Right buttons for five seconds.

Yes, I have unplugged the power cord for 15 minutes and plugged it back in. The same results occurred: anytime I pressed a button on the remote, the light blinked a few times and nothing happened.
I tried this as well, and it was to no avail. The same results: press a button, the light blinks and nothing happens on the TV.
Actually, this did help. I unpaired the remote and the Apple TV and then re-paired them. Now the remote is working. Thank you for the help!
