I have a third gen apple tv hooked up to a tv in an RV what I was wondering is can you use airplay from a mac to stream to the apple tv even if the wifi router is not connected to the internet?
Yes providing the content you are trying to play isn't protected and needs Internet access for playback.
I have tried this before and for what ever reason it will not let me do this. the movies are in iTunes on the computer completely downloaded but I can't seem to use airplay on my mac to stream the movies to the apple tv I can do this at home just not in the RV.
if I have a wifi network that my apple tv can connect to but it is not connected to the internet can I still use airplay on my mac to play on my tv?
