Why does my Apple TV 4th Gen take some time before turning on? Do I have a defective item?

My new apple TV I bought a month back takes a while to turn on. I have to press the power button on the remote a few times before anything happens. Thought this might be normal, but the old Apple TV turns on instantly.

If you are able, I'd try it with another TV.
