iTunes shuts down after listening for a few songs

When listening to my music, or iTunes radio, iTunes shuts down and takes me to the account login page. it happens all of the time wether I am listening to the music I own, or to the radio in iTunes. I am running iOS capitan 10.11.1 and iTunes 12.3.1.23. please help....
