Trying to restore iPad mini after forgetting Apple ID information. Is this possible?

Trying to restore an iPad mini after being locked out and forgetting the previous Apple ID & password. Cannot get past the 'Activate iPad' screen where it asks for that info as it wants the previous ID & password. Is there a way to use the new ones created?

No. Click here and use Apple's iForgot service, or if you're the iPad's original owner, take it and its purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.
