Apple TV and the lack of actual support
I Just bought Apple TV today and wanted to watch a movie. It is day in my movie will be ready to watch in 117 hours!

Think best I just return it and get my money back
At the bottom of this very screen there is a “Contact Us” link with phone numbers galore. You can start here (800) APL–CARE (800–275–2273). With a new purchase you have 90 days of free tech support from Apple. These forums are for fellow users like yourself. We are not Apple tech support. That being said it appears your home network is the problem. Are you connecting via WiFi or Ethernet? How fast is your Internet connection?
I select a movie on iTunes and and it starts streaming in 10 seconds. Like lkrupp notes, it sounds like an issue with your local network. Being a user support community we can assist but your going to have to provide additional details for the problems your experiencing....
