recently purchased iPhone 6s. Initially when I put simcard it was working fine but while transferring backup from my old iPhone now it is asking for activation with Apple ID r.....@yahoo.com And password. This Apple ID I have never used in my old iPhone 6.

Somehow the phone has become Activation Locked. Without the password to that Apple ID, the phone cannot be used. Was this a new device or second-hand?

after connection now it is asking me for activation. Even my old iphone 6 with same apple id by which I had set up the is new phone is working fine.
this is completely new handset and I dont't understand why this problem occurred. one thing i forgot to mention. to install back up of my old iphone6
I erased all data and setting from new iphone 6s and restarted.
