Using multiple TVs as monitors with Mac Pro
Can I attach 5 HDMI TVs to my mac pro? To date I can only make 4 work.
Every "legacy" display (read: non DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort interface) beyond the first TWO requires an ACTIVE (read: powered) adapter. If you choose to use the built-in HDMI, that counts as one.
Third-party ACTIVE adapters run about US$40 each. If not sold as ACTIVE, they are not.
To debug, make sure each display can run with no more than one other, and solve any problems there FIRST. Then try for multiples.
