Q: Ethernet and power stop working on Thunderbolt display

I have my MBP connected to a thunderbolt display, getting power from the connection and using the ethernet port on the Thunderbolt to connect to my router.

 

Those two functions stopped working. The USB ports still work and the display works, but power and ethernet stopped. Is there a way to re-set or troubleshoot this?

Turns out, if you disconnect the MBP to use as portable, you have to reboot when you reconnect. It was the computer, not the monitor.
