Itunes not playing and skippng

I just updated my iTunes to 12.3.1.23 64 bit on my Sony VPCEH with windows 10. I was trying to listen to my music on it and at first it would play but it would be skipping and now it won't play at all. Its getting annoying that I can't enjoy listening to music. Can you please give a solution to my problem?
