My iPad closes down and returns to the desktop while I am still on a program. Can anyone give me suggestions of why and what can I do?

Start with holding the sleep/wake and home button until the apple logo appears.

Is it only occurring with a certain app?

Same thing is happening to me. It happens with Safari and chrome. I've tried restart several times.

For or safari go to settings>safari>clear website data and history. For chrome try deleting the app and reinstalling it.

FFor me it's happening when using apps, especially eBay.
