The screen on my iMac 27" keeps flashing black and it is getting more frequent. Why is it doing this? Is it likely to fail completely? How can I remedy it please?
I posted this before but nobody seems to have answered. Is there anyone out there who can give advice on this please?

If it is not going into display sleep mode, then it is very likely a hardware problem.

Coincidentally, before I rolled this advice, my internet broadband was upgraded due to poor speed and since then, there have been no further cases of the screen blinking black. Hopefully, the problem was caused by poor speed (less than 2 mg) .
