I cannot connect to my Time Capsule

My Mac is 2007 and I want to use a new Time Capsule with Time Machine. The software is El Capitan, 10.11.1. I get an error message OS Status Error 2. Help!

The 'OS Status Error 2' error message typically means that you don't have permission to access the network drive. Are you doing back ups to the Time Capsule's (TC) internal hard drive or to an external drive connected to its USB port? If external, would that drive happen to be a Western Digital MyBook? Did you make any file-sharing configuration changes on your Time Capsule, to say, also use the TC as a file server?
