why is logic recording audio so quietly?

Hi.

I am working with Logic Pro X 10.1.1 on a 2011 iMac using OS Yosemite 10.10.5. i5 processor. 4GB RAM

My interface is a Saffire Pro 24 DSP.

I am trying to record audio in logic but every time that I do. the playback of the track is extremely quiet and the waveform of the audio is essentially a straight line.

I can barely hear anything I'm recording and I have no idea why. Even when i turn the gain up on the interface for the mic it still records barely any sound. I'm using a phantom powered samson C01 condenser microphone. help me please!

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Are you sure you have the latest version of Mix Control?

Have you selected the correct Input on the channel strip you're recording with.

When upgrading Mix Control unplug the interface, it's also a good idea to turn power phantom off before plugging or unplugging any Mic/Cable.

Have you tried a different Mic Cable and/or tried the mic through a PA, does the Mic LED come on showing you have 48v Phantom Power?
