How to increase Storage memory on my MBP (mid 2014)?

Of the original 121GB Flash Storage, I am nearly out of storage memory. It was down to zero, but I got back up to 11GB by emptying downloads and trash.

“Other” has 87GB of storage. What is “Other”? And does 121GB Flash Storage seem correct? Why "Flash Storage?

This is a definition of OTHER:

OTHER is NOT your problem.

You essentially have two choices:

Purchase a MBP with a larger internal storage drive (iFixit.com may have a larger SSD but that will void any warranty or Apple Care your MBP may have should you install one.)

Install a large capacity SDXC card for additional storage.

Ciao.
